Know the Signs

Most suicidal individuals give warning signs or signals of their intentions. You can recognize these signs and respond in conversation by using examples on the Find the Words page to prevent suicide. If you believe someone you know is considering suicide, you can play a role in suicide prevention by pointing out the alternatives, showing that you care, and being informed of resources and referrals in our area.
